First Day of First Grade

The Summer had came and went before It even got started. The first day of school was upon us. Along with lots of other changes, our family would be growing in a few months. I was not ready for Zack to go  back to school. I had all the stuff he needed. Zack was excited. He would have Emma in the first grade with him, but they would be in different classes, but I wanted my summer and my kids back. The first day went off well. He was the 2nd stop on the drop off and rode the bus home. Since he was in first grade she got to start her first day with all his brother's and sister's. he was down to just him and Emma at his school.

Zack's bad dream

Zack must have had a bad dream. He had night terror as a toddler would scream in his sleep as he got older he was scream things like "mine" and go away" tonight I heard him scream "don't go up there" and "do it again" about 30 mins apart then he work up crying and called for us and told us he couldn't go to sleep ....okay you've been asleep. We asked why he pointed to his pillow daddy flipped it over and he said "there gone now ?" We said yes and he went back to sleep lol

long overdue update

It's been since November 2011 since I updated. Zackariah had just turned 6 After Halloween was Christmas. It's was pretty much your normal Christmas. We baked cookies as we do every year, my grandparents came to visit and brought gifts then. We went to Aunt House on Christmas eve after Church and then home in time for Santa to come. It was Great Christmas. I believe I woke up sick that year, but Christmas was at my house so I didn't do much. New years we stayed home as well. Then in April I broke my ankle that was rough so Easter was interesting with me in a wheel chair. Zackariah had finally been old enough to go to kindergarten. You have to be 5, by Oct 1st and Zackriah was 5 on Oct 1st turned 6 Oct 6th. So he went to kindergarten. He had struggles when he was little with the acid reflux and not getting much nourishment the first 10 months of his life. His report read how sweet he is and how he tries, but stuggles with basic K skills. I  went to the school meeting wanting him to repeat or do T1 .... I was told no way even though other children had been offered a 2nd year at kindergarten, but he was not giving that since his birthday is so early in the school year. I thought he needed another year to work on these skills as well as mature. I was told no so I left and came to the decision to homeschool for a year. Zack played Tee Ball and Football and lost his first tooth. We had a wonderful summer and August 2012 we go ready to homeschool. I had all his books built a chalk board got a desk.. I had everything for him. We tried our daily school work some days it didn't get done until late and other days he just wasn't intrested he would ask about the cat or the xbox or just simple are we done yet. hated to do any of the work I gave him and would give me silly answers, by the end of the 9 weeks I knew this wasn't going to work, but I had very little options. I went to the school board with my concerned and made it clear he would not attend by being placed in the 1st grade and setting up to fail. He didn't need to be full time special ed but would drown in even most of the time regular ed. I even was going to pull him from Lyon's but with in a few days they agreed to put him in kindergarten again and in October we started his 2nd year in Kindergarten. on October 6, 2012 Zackariah turned 7 !!! We had Halloween 2012 He dressed up as a cow boy with woody cowboy boots which he loved  He did go trick or treating, but was upset cause we had to go home early due to Emmaleigh being sick. Then was Christmas. Another normal Christmas New Years we stayed home. Then along came Easter which was fun ! We did Easter pictures with baby Chickens!! In other News Zackariah will be a big brother yet again !!! I told all the kids on April Fools Day !!! Zackariah replied with "yay ! a baby chicken" i told him no a human baby. he said " Yay i human baby chicken" LOL thanks to him the baby has been nicknamed Chicken. In may he graduated Kindergarten and I believe he made huge progress and will be attending 1st grade next year !!anyhow it's now Summer time. I'm hoping to enjoy the pool until it's back to school again !
